A collection of ceramic tableware comprising pieces of various styles and origins. Included is a circular earthenware plate featuring a central transfer-printed Helleborus Niger (Christmas Rose) motif with a butterfly, framed by a continuous green leaf garland border and an outer ring of smaller floral sprigs. A group of four matching bone china mugs is decorated with a multi-coloured wildflower pattern including blue, yellow, and purple blossoms scattered across the exterior. The lot also contains a large cream-coloured earthenware vegetable tureen with a fluted pedestal base and a matching fluted lid topped with a bud-shaped finial. A white glazed plate with a scalloped rim is decorated with a blue floral spray in the centre and matching border details. Completing the group is a tiered cake plate of white bone china featuring sprays of pink roses and yellow garden flowers, finished with a gilt edge and fitted with a central brass-toned metal handle. The undersides of several pieces bear printed marks and stamps; however, these are not clearly legible as specific names or makers due to the angle and distance of the photograph. White adhesive rectangular labels with black printed numerals are visible on the tureen and plates.
Condition report:
The collection appears to be in generally good condition based on visual inspection. There is light staining and minor surface wear visible on the interior rim and underside of the tureen lid (photo 1). The gilding on the cake plate rim shows no significant signs of rubbing or loss from the overhead view. No chips, cracks, or structural repairs are visible on the plates or mugs in the provided image.
