Lot 560: White Painted Two-Drawer Writing Desk
A contemporary white-painted writing desk of rectilinear form. The rectangular top is positioned above two side drawers, each fitted with a single circular silver-toned metal pull knob, flanking a central kneehole. The desk is supported by four square tapered legs, which are braced by a single horizontal cross-stretcher at the rear. A small orange adhesive label is present on the front right corner of the desktop, though the characters on it are not legible. No other maker’s marks, labels, or signatures are visible on the exterior or interior components shown.
Condition report:
The desk shows signs of cosmetic wear throughout. The white-painted surface of the top exhibits numerous scuffs, surface scratches, and patches of yellowish discoloration (photo 1). Small chips are visible in the paintwork along the edges of the top and on the legs (photo 1). An orange adhesive price or lot sticker is located on the front right corner of the desktop (photo 1). The piece appears structurally sound but would benefit from repainting.
