Lot 488: An Art Deco Style Bevelled Glass Faceted Wall Mirror
A rectangular wall mirror featuring a mirror-on-mirror construction characteristic of the Art Deco period. The central rectangular mirror plate is bordered by four trapezoidal, bevelled mirror glass panels. These surrounding panels are angled to create a three-dimensional, faceted effect. All glass elements feature bevelled edges. The mirror is mounted onto a wooden backing, visible at the outer edges. No maker marks, labels, or signatures are visible on the mirror or its frame.
Condition report:
The mirror glass is in good overall condition with minimal visible foxing or silvering loss. Surface dust and minor atmospheric streaking are present across all panels (photo 1). The bevelled edges show very minor wear consistent with age and use. No significant chips, cracks, or deep scratches are evident to the glass panels.
