A pair of polychrome porcelain miniature busts depicting a lady and a gentleman in Tudor-style attire. The female figure features long reddish hair secured by a crimson hood with gold bead detailing, wearing a crimson and cream garment with a gold-coloured cross pendant. Her hands are crossed at the waist. The male figure is depicted with wavy reddish-blond hair, wearing a crimson doublet with patterned gold-coloured lapels and a green sleeve, with his hands crossed in front. Both figures are set on integral circular bases with gilt-rimmed edges. The figures are finished in a high-gloss glaze. Each piece is accompanied by a navy blue hinged presentation box with a blue satin-lined interior. An orange adhesive sticker reading 151 is attached to the head of the male figure. A white adhesive label reading 5 is present on the top left corner of each box lid. A partial script label reading dov is visible in the background. No manufacturer marks or signatures are visible on the exterior of the items or boxes.
Condition report:
Both figurines are in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or crazing to the porcelain or glaze (photo 1). The gilt highlights on the bases and clothing remain intact and bright. The presentation boxes exhibit minor external shelf wear but are otherwise clean and functional. The orange adhesive sticker 151 is present on the hair of the male figure (photo 1).
