Lot 621: Omega Genève Gold-Plated Wristwatch with Champagne Dial
A vintage Omega Genève wristwatch featuring a circular gold-plated metal case. The champagne-toned dial displays applied gold-toned baton hour markers. At the twelve o’clock position, there is an applied gold-toned Greek letter Omega logo above the name OMEGA printed in black. Positioned above the six o’clock marker, the model name Genève is printed in black script. The bottom edge of the dial bears the printed words SWISS MADE. The timepiece features gold-toned centre hour, minute, and seconds hands. The winding crown is embossed with the Omega logo symbol. The watch is mounted on a dark brown leather strap featuring an alligator-style embossed pattern and a gold-toned pin buckle. The watch appears to be a three-hand manual or automatic mechanical model.
Condition report:
The dial shows minor age-related spotting and patina throughout the surface (photo 2). The gold-plated case exhibits wear and loss to the plating, most notably on the lug tips and sharp edges where the base metal is visible, along with light surface scratches (photo 2). The crystal shows several fine surface scratches across its surface (photo 2). The leather strap shows light wear and creasing from use (photo 1). The movement has not been tested for functionality or timekeeping accuracy.
