Lot 615: Two Costume Jewellery Sets comprising a Rhinestone Demi-Parure and a Multi-Strand Beaded Necklace
Two boxes containing different styles of costume jewellery. The first item, housed in a black velvet-covered box, is a silver-tone demi-parure consisting of a necklace and matching earrings. The design features ornate scrolling metalwork pavé-set with numerous clear round-cut rhinestones and accented with larger, dark blue or black faceted stones. The earrings appear to be a clip-on or screw-back variety. A small white adhesive sticker is attached to the side of this box lid, printed with the numbers 17 17. The second item, presented in a dark rectangular box, is a multi-strand necklace. This piece is composed of numerous small, faceted metallic-grey beads and larger faceted teardrop-shaped drops, all interconnected with silver-tone metal rings. No maker’s names, signatures, or hallmarks are visible on the front-facing surfaces of any items.
Condition report:
The jewellery appears to be in good overall condition. The silver-tone finish on both sets remains bright, and the faceted stones and metallic beads show no immediate signs of significant wear or loss to their coatings (photo 1). Close physical inspection would be required to confirm if any of the smaller pavé-set rhinestones in the demi-parure are missing. The presentation boxes show minor signs of shelf wear and handling.
