Lot 575: John Long, Daisy, Framed Exhibition Poster
A contemporary exhibition poster featuring an offset lithographic reproduction of the painting titled Daisy by the British artist John Long (born 1964). The composition presents a stylised white daisy with a yellow centre alongside a dark-toned vessel, positioned against a split-field background of terracotta red and pale cream and blue. The work is printed with text along the margins. A vertically oriented line of text at the bottom right margin reads J O H N L O N G. Further small text at the top right margin, also oriented vertically, reads ‘Daisy’ oil on canvas 14 x 10 Private Collection, London. © John Long 1996. The poster is presented in a modern metal clip-frame under glass. An orange adhesive label on the top left of the glass reads S 75 and a small white adhesive label at the top centre of the glass reads 7.
Condition report:
The print appears to be in good overall condition with no visible signs of foxing, toning, or moisture damage from this viewpoint (photo 1). There is significant light glare reflected on the glass in the provided photograph. The metal clip-frame exhibits minor surface handling wear and accumulated dust. The item has not been examined out of the frame.
