Lot 556: Contemporary Mirrored Five Drawer Tallboy Chest
A contemporary mirrored five drawer tallboy chest of drawers. The piece is constructed with a vertical rectangular carcass entirely clad in mirrored glass panels with polished edges. It features five drawers of equal height stacked vertically, each fitted with a single central clear faceted glass knob. The chest sits on a simple block base, which is also clad in mirrored glass. The internal drawer liners appear to be finished in a dark matte tone, consistent with contemporary manufacture using a wood composite carcass beneath the glass cladding. No maker marks, labels, or stamps are visible on the exterior of the piece.
Condition report:
The chest is in good used condition. The mirrored surfaces throughout show a significant accumulation of dust, smudging, and fingerprints (photo 1). No major cracks, star fractures, or significant chips are visible on the glass panels from the primary angle provided. All five knobs are present and intact, although one appears slightly loose and may require tightening (photo 1).
