Lot 555: Contemporary Ceramic Table Lamp with Black and White Damask Pattern and Drum Shade
A contemporary table lamp featuring a bulbous ceramic base with a high-gloss finish. The body is decorated with a dense, black scrolling foliate and floral damask-style pattern set against a white ground. The lamp is designed with a solid black neck and a matching stepped circular base. It comes with a large black fabric drum shade that has a cream-coloured lining. The lamp is fitted with a black power cord and a standard United Kingdom three-pin plug. The wiring appears contemporary. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible on the base or body. An orange rectangular adhesive label is present on the base, but the text is not legible. A small white adhesive label is attached to the power cable. This item is sold as an auction lot and is untested; professional PAT testing is recommended before use.
Condition report:
The ceramic base appears to be in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or crazing (photo 1). The black fabric shade shows some minor surface dust and lint (photo 1).
