A Victorian chest of drawers in a two-over-two configuration, comprising two short drawers above two long drawers. The piece is constructed from pine and finished in a light blue paint, which has been distressed at the edges to reveal a dark wood underlayer. It features a molded top and a shaped plinth base set upon four metal casters. The drawers are each fitted with two white-painted turned wooden knobs and a metal escutcheon. A small orange rectangular adhesive sticker is located on the front right corner of the top surface; no characters or markings are discernible on its surface.
Condition report:
The chest is in good structural condition. The painted finish is a later application and incorporates intentional distressing to the edges. There are minor scuffs, light surface marks, and indications of domestic wear to the painted finish (photo 1). The casters and drawer hardware appear to be in sound condition.
