Lot 470: A Collection of Contemporary Folding Chairs and Stools
A collection of contemporary folding furniture comprising two chairs and two stools. The group includes one folding chair with a silver-painted tubular metal frame and a crescent-shaped grey panel backrest secured by three silver-tone rivets. An orange rectangular adhesive label is affixed to the backrest of the grey folding chair, with the characters 4 7 0 handwritten in black marker. A partial white rectangular adhesive label is also located on the outer edge of the grey chair frame, though the characters are not legible. A second folding chair features a black upholstered synthetic seat and backrest on a silver-painted tubular metal frame. Also included are two folding stools, each with a circular seat featuring a light wood-effect veneer, possibly beech, mounted onto silver-painted tubular metal folding frames. The items are constructed with hinged joints and are assembled with a combination of rivets and bolts to allow for flat storage. No maker names or branding are legible on the items.
Condition report:
The items are in used condition as visible in the photograph. There are minor scuffs and marks to the silver-painted frames across the collection (Photo 1). The light wood-effect seats on the stools show some surface scratches (Photo 1). The black upholstery on the second chair appears intact but shows a light accumulation of dust (Photo 1). All items are presented in their folded state.
