Lot 47: A Collection of Fifteen Cut Crystal Drinking Glasses
A collection of fifteen cut crystal drinking vessels, comprising six brandy balloons and nine tumblers in two sizes. The brandy balloons feature large, rounded bowls with short, thick stems. The tumblers are straight-sided and consist of both whisky and taller water glasses. All pieces are decorated with a traditional deep-cut pattern consisting of starburst motifs set within cross-hatched diamond fields, topped by vertical fan cuts. The tumblers feature a multi-pointed starburst cut to the underside of the base. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the pieces.
Condition report:
The collection is in good condition overall. The crystal is clear and shows no signs of internal clouding or glass sickness. No chips or cracks are visible on the rims or bases from the provided photograph (photo 1). Minor surface dust is present.
