Lot 395: A white glazed ceramic jardiniere and matching pedestal
A two-piece white glazed ceramic jardiniere and pedestal set. The jardiniere features a deep, lobed body with vertical fluting and a flared, scalloped rim. It sits atop a matching pedestal comprising a tapered, fluted column with a ring-moulded capital and a stepped circular base. The set is finished in a uniform, high-gloss white glaze. An orange rectangular adhesive label on the pedestal bears the handwritten numbers 395. Positioned below this is a smaller white rectangular adhesive label with the handwritten numbers 7 7. No other factory marks, stamps, signatures, or country-of-origin marks are visible on the exterior of the pieces.
Condition report:
The set is in good overall condition. There is visible surface dust and grime, particularly settled within the moulded recesses of the fluting and base (photo 1). Adhesive residue is present on the pedestal column surrounding the labels (photo 1). No major chips, cracks, or visible repairs are apparent from the provided angle.
