Live auction will start in __ days and __ hours

Start price: £2

Buyer's Premium:

A set of twelve silver-plated souvenir spoons, each featuring a shield-shaped finial decorated in relief with a coat of arms representing a Canadian province or territory. The spoons are presented in a light blue textured case with a cream-coloured silk-effect lid lining and a blue velvet-lined fitted base. Below the coat of arms on each stem, the corresponding region name is inscribed vertically. Legible inscriptions include CANADA, NEW BRUNSWICK, MANITOBA, ONTARIO, and PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND. A small black booklet included in the set bears a white shield-shaped logo containing a stylized script CP monogram. The same shield-shaped monogram is present on the exterior of the presentation case. No maker name or standard silver hallmarks are visible on the spoons.

Condition report:

The spoons exhibit heavy all-over surface tarnish and oxidation, presenting as dark brown, charcoal grey, and iridescent blue-toned discolouration. The presentation case shows light external wear to the edges and corners, with some minor foxing and discolouration to the inner lid lining. The booklet shows light handling wear.
