Lot 355: A vintage brass-effect and onyx-style stone floor lamp with a pleated fabric shade
A vintage floor lamp featuring a fluted brass-effect metal column interspersed with decorative green and cream-toned onyx-style stone knops. The column stands on a matching circular stone base. The lamp is topped with a large, tapered, pleated cream fabric shade, the lower rim of which is embellished with a decorative fringe of clear faceted bead droplets. The lamp is wired with a white flexible cable terminating in a modern white UK 3-pin plug. An orange rectangular adhesive label is present on one of the stone sections of the column, but the printed characters are not legible. No other maker marks or signatures are visible. This electrical item is sold as untested and must be inspected by a qualified electrician before use.
Condition report:
The fabric shade shows signs of significant age-related wear, including noticeable yellowing, staining, and dust accumulation (photo 1). The metal components exhibit light surface oxidation and minor tarnishing throughout (photo 1). The stone sections of the column and the base appear to be in good structural condition without major chips or cracks (photo 1). The beaded fringe appears largely intact (photo 1).
