Lot 346: A contemporary mirrored jewellery chest with etched rose decoration and an assortment of costume jewellery
A contemporary mirrored jewellery chest of rectangular form, clad in mirrored glass panels. The front elevations of the top compartment and the three drawer fronts are decorated with frosted, etched motifs depicting stylised roses and foliage set against a geometric trellis grid. The top compartment is accessed via a hinged lid and is lined with black velvet-effect material, featuring four ring rolls and three storage wells. The drawers are fitted with faceted clear glass or plastic knobs.
An orange adhesive price sticker is applied to the lower left corner of the front panel, printed with the number 346. A small circular white adhesive sticker marked with the number 7 is positioned adjacent to the price tag. No manufacturer marks, signatures, or brand labels are visible on the exterior or within the accessible interior compartments.
The chest contains an assortment of costume jewellery comprising a silver-tone butterfly brooch with openwork wings, a circular silver-tone brooch with scrolled filigree decoration, a silver-tone link chain, and a pair of gold-tone stud earrings set with blue cabochons.
Condition report:
The item is in good used condition. The mirrored and etched glass panels appear intact with no visible chips, cracks, or significant scratches (photo 1). There is a light accumulation of fingerprints and dust on the exterior glass surfaces. The interior fabric lining shows minor signs of previous use and some light lint (photo 2). The assorted costume jewellery appears to be in wearable condition.
