Lot 278: Two Vintage Woven Wicker Baskets
Two traditional woven wicker baskets of varying form and colour. One basket is constructed from light brown willow with a high arched handle and a wide, flared rim. The second is a circular, deep-sided basket featuring dark-stained wicker weaving, a contrasting natural-coloured base, and two integrated side handles. An orange adhesive label with the handwritten characters 278 is affixed to the handle of the light brown basket and the rim of the dark brown basket. A white adhesive tag reading 7 is also attached to the handle of the light brown basket and the rim of the dark brown basket.
Condition report:
Both baskets appear to be in good used condition. Minor surface abrasions and dust accumulation are visible on the wicker of both items (photo 1). The weaving remains structurally sound with no visible breaks or losses.
