Lot 212: An Assortment of Vinyl LP Records Including Isao Tomita, Lou Rawls, and The Corries
A collection of approximately 30 to 50 12-inch vinyl LP records housed in a single cardboard storage box. The assortment includes a variety of genres such as electronic music, folk, and soul. Legible titles include Grand Canyon performed by Isao Tomita and the Plasma Symphony Orchestra, The Lou Rawls Show, and The Corries Live at the Royal Lyceum Theatre, Edinburgh. The sleeve for the Tomita album features printed credits in the lower-left corner for equipment used, including Binson Echorec, Fender Dimension IV, and Mellotron, as well as art direction by J. J. Stelmach and photography by Tomoki Sato. The reverse of The Corries sleeve lists traditional tracks such as Flower of Scotland and The Lads O’ The Fair. The Lou Rawls cover shows the artist wearing a brown turtleneck and coat.
Condition report:
The records and sleeves are in used, uninspected condition. Visible sleeves show evidence of shelf wear, including ring wear, bumped corners, and scuffed edges (photo 1). The cardboard storage box exhibits significant wear, staining, and structural fatigue. The vinyl discs have not been removed for individual inspection and are not graded for scratches, dust, warping, or audio quality.
