Lot 154: A large glazed ceramic elephant and tiger group
A large glazed ceramic figurine depicting a tiger attacking an elephant. The elephant is modelled in a dark grey-brown glaze with a textured surface to simulate skin, featuring two upward-curving white tusks, a raised trunk, and a mouth detailed in a light pink glaze. The tiger is depicted mid-leap onto the back of the elephant, finished with an orange ground and black stripes. The entire group is finished in a uniform high-gloss glaze. An orange rectangular adhesive label is affixed to the elephant’s left flank, printed with the number 154. A small white rectangular adhesive label is affixed to the front left foot, printed with the characters 20 20. No manufacturer marks, signatures, or impressed model numbers are visible on the exterior surfaces shown.
