Lot 603: A Vintage Brass Standard Lamp with Multi-Tiered Fringed Shade
A vintage floor lamp, also referred to as a standard lamp, featuring a polished brass-plated metal base and upright stem. The lamp is fitted with a large, decorative multi-tiered fabric shade. The shade is constructed with a cream-coloured main body and multiple layers of long, pale green fringing finished with decorative tassels. The lamp is equipped with a black power cord and a standard UK three-pin plug. No maker marks or labels are visible on the base or stem.
Condition report:
The brass base and stem show visible surface tarnishing, minor oxidation, and light scratches consistent with age and use. The fabric shade appears to be in generally good condition with the fringes well-preserved, although there is light surface dust and minor age-related fading to the fabric. This item is sold as an electrical antique; it has not been PAT tested for safety and must be inspected and tested by a qualified electrician before use.
