Lot 4: A Trio of Items Comprising a Glass Bottle, a Cut-Glass Caster, and a Woven Basket
A trio of items comprising a hand-blown green glass bottle, a clear cut-glass caster, and a rectangular woven basket. The green glass bottle is of bulbous form with a long tapering neck, showing internal seeds and surface variations characteristic of hand-blown production. The clear glass caster features deep-cut geometric faceting and is fitted with a perforated silver-toned metal lid. This metal lid is unhallmarked and may be solid silver or silver-plated. The basket is constructed from woven fibres and features an arched handle. Adhesive inventory labels bearing the numbers 11 and 4 are adhered to the glass components. No maker’s marks or factory signatures are visible on any of the items.
Condition report:
The items are in fair condition with visible surface residue and adhesive stickers present. The metal lid of the caster exhibits surface tarnish and wear consistent with age. No chips or cracks were observed on the glass bodies during visual inspection. The woven basket appears structurally intact with minor wear to the fibres. It is recommended that the metal lid be tested for silver purity.
