Buyer's Premium:

A large assortment of hardcover and paperback books, primarily comprising reference guides for antique collectors and art history. The collection includes notable titles such as Turner 1775-1851 featuring maritime landscape boards, The Victorian Underworld by Kellow Chesney, and natural history works including The Living Planet by David Attenborough and British Birds by W.H. Hudson.

Specialist antique collecting guides feature prominently, including Made in Japan Ceramics Book II: Identification and Values by Carole Bess White, Steiff: Senses, Sentiments and Artistry, and The Arthur Negus Guide to English Pottery and Porcelain. Other reference works include Techniques of the World’s Great Masters of Pottery and Ceramics, Fabergé by Alexander von Solodkoff, and The Art of Emile Gallé by Margaret Holland.

General decorative arts volumes include The History of Silver edited by Claude Blair, Art Deco: An Illustrated Guide to the Decorative Style 1920-40, Costume Jewellery, and Silver. Published editions include works from Tiger Books International, Octopus, Pyramid, and Treasure Press. Many volumes retain their original dust jackets over cloth or board bindings. Both storage boxes are marked with orange lot labels numbered 342.


Condition report:

Items are in a used condition consistent with shelf storage and reference use. Hardcover bindings appear generally intact across the collection. Dust jackets show various signs of wear including edge scuffing, minor chipping, and light fading to the spines. The paperback volume Made in Japan Ceramics shows visible curling to the corners and some edge wear. Internal contents have not been examined for foxing, marginalia, or ownership inscriptions.
