Lot 724: Two Vintage Mechanical Wristwatches Including a Lancet Chronograph and a Limit 17 Jewels Watch
A collection of two vintage mechanical wristwatches. The first is a Lancet manual-wind chronograph featuring a cream-coloured dial with two sub-dials at the 3 and 9 o’clock positions, gold-tone Arabic numeral hour markers, and silver-tone hands. The silver-tone case is equipped with two chronograph pushers flanking the crown and is fitted on a black textured leather strap with a silver-tone pin buckle. The second is a Limit manual-wind wristwatch with a silvered dial, Arabic numerals at the 3, 6, 9, and 12 positions, and baton hour markers. The dial is marked 17 Jewels and Incabloc. This watch is housed in a silver-tone metal case and fitted on a brown textured leather strap. Both pieces are contained within a red leatherette presentation box with a cream satin and velvet-lined interior, bearing the retailer’s mark for W.T. Story Ltd of Barrow and Ulverston.

Condition report:
The Lancet watch dial exhibits significant patination and spotting consistent with age. The crystal shows visible scratches. The case has surface wear and minor pitting to the reverse edges. The Limit watch dial shows light age-related spotting, and the crystal is scratched. The brown leather strap is heavily worn and creased. The presentation box shows external scuffing and edge wear, with staining and discolouration to the interior lining. Movements are untested.
