Five UK commemorative crowns, 25 New Pence denomination, struck in cupro-nickel. The group comprises examples of the 1977 Silver Jubilee crown and the 1981 Royal Wedding crown. The 1977 reverse design features the coronation regalia within a border of floral emblems including the rose, thistle, shamrock, and leek. The 1981 reverse depicts the conjoined profiles of the Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer. All obverses feature the second portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Arnold Machin with the Latin legend ELIZABETH II D G REG F D. The coins are accompanied by original promotional packaging, including a purple Reader’s Digest Association case and a pink National Westminster Bank plastic pouch.
Condition report:
Coins are in uncirculated to extremely fine condition, displaying minor handling marks and light surface toning consistent with age. The promotional packaging remains intact but shows minor surface wear and light staining to the flexible plastic pouch.
