Lot 712: Two Vintage Mid-20th Century Metallic Evening Purses
A lot of two vintage mid-20th century evening purses. The first purse is a small frame clutch crafted from black fabric with an all-over metallic gold-tone woven geometric pattern, likely a brocade or lamé. It features a gold-tone metal frame and clasp. The second purse is a gathered evening frame bag constructed from gold-tone metallic textured fabric, possibly lamé or a metallic weave. The fabric is pleated from the frame, creating a textured, fan-like effect. This bag includes a gold-tone metal frame with a kiss-lock clasp and an attached gold-tone curb link chain handle. No interior labels or maker’s marks are visible through the packaging.

Condition report:
Items are viewed through protective packaging. The black and gold purse shows visible fraying to the fabric at the lower corner edges. The gold pleated purse shows minor surface creasing and typical signs of age. Gold-tone hardware on both items shows light surface scratches consistent with use.
