Lot 691: Late 20th Century Pine Swing Toilet Mirror
A late 20th-century pine swing toilet mirror, also referred to as a dressing table or vanity mirror. The rectangular mirror plate is held within a simple pine frame, suspended between two turned wooden upright supports topped with decorative finials. The unit is mounted on a solid rectangular plinth base with a bevelled edge. The tilt of the mirror is adjustable and secured by two brass-finish metal thumbscrews. The construction is typical of traditional pine bedroom furniture from the late 20th century. An orange rectangular sticker is present on the top surface of the base.
Condition report:
The wooden frame and base show minor surface wear, including small scratches and light abrasions consistent with age and use. The item is dusty from storage. The mirror plate is in good condition with no visible foxing, significant silvering loss, or chips to the glass.
