Lot 690: A Capodimonte Porcelain Figural Table Lamp Depicting a Blacksmith
A Capodimonte porcelain figural table lamp of mid-to-late 20th-century manufacture, depicting a blacksmith or farrier. The hand-painted figurine shows the craftsman standing at an anvil, holding a hammer in one hand and a horseshoe in the other, dressed in a light-coloured shirt, blue apron, and brown cap. The figurine is mounted upon a circular, dark-stained wooden plinth. The lamp is fitted with a scalloped pink moiré fabric shade, decorated with a matching fringe and trim. The electrical components include a gold-coloured plastic-coated flex and a modern UK three-pin plug. No manufacturer’s marks or backstamps are visible on the porcelain or the base.

The porcelain figurine appears to be in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or evidence of restoration. The wooden plinth shows minor surface wear consistent with age.
