Lot 654: A Pair of Ornate Rococo Revival Style White Painted Mirrors
A matching set of two ornate mirrors in the Rococo revival style, consisting of a large oval wall mirror and a tri-fold triptych dressing table mirror. The frames are constructed from moulded composition over a wooden base with an aged off-white painted finish. Each mirror features intricate openwork decoration including scrolling acanthus leaves, C-scrolls, and floral cresting. The mirror plates are oval in shape, with the triptych mirror featuring two hinged side panels. This set is characteristic of mid-20th-century European revival furniture often associated with the Hollywood Regency or French Provincial aesthetic.
