An Edwardian mahogany pedestal cabinet of single-piece construction. The cabinet features a flat overhanging top with a small cornice above a decorative rectangular panel with a central carved oval and radiating foliate motifs to the corners. Below this sits a single long cupboard door with a figured mahogany panel, fitted with a circular brass-toned knob and two external brass-toned hinges. The piece is supported by a shaped, scalloped plinth base. No maker marks or labels are visible.
Condition report:
The cabinet shows signs of age-related wear consistent with use. There are visible surface scratches and abrasions to the side panels and front door veneer. Minor scuffing and finish loss are present, particularly around the plinth base. The piece remains structurally sound.
