This collection of English antique furniture features an 18th-century housekeepers cupboard of two-tier form. The cupboard is designed with four recessed-panel doors, each featuring white-inlaid escutcheons and small circular knobs. Also included is a Georgian chest of drawers in a two-over-three configuration with turned wooden knobs and keyholes. The drawer fronts show vertical separation lines. A late Victorian style chair is present, featuring a circular seat and turned spindle back. The collection also contains a small side table with a single drawer and turned legs. The items are primarily constructed from solid dark-toned hardwoods such as oak and walnut. No maker’s marks or stamps are visible, though small rectangular inventory labels are present on some surfaces.
Condition report:
All pieces exhibit age-related wear including surface scuffs, scratches, and loss of finish. There is a significant accumulation of dust and surface grime consistent with long-term storage. The chest of drawers shows a vertical separation on the drawer fronts. The carved scroll detail on the upper section remains intact. The items appear structurally stable despite the cosmetic surface wear and degradation of the finish.
