Lot 341: An Assortment of Vintage and Antique Dolls and Doll Parts
An assortment of vintage and antique dolls and components. The collection includes a large cloth doll with black yarn hair, embroidered blue and white eyes, and a pink crescent-shaped mouth, dressed in a white eyelet-trimmed blouse and a purple floral patterned skirt. Also included are two smaller dolls dressed in matching purple hand-knitted woollen dresses. One smaller doll features brown hair while the other has white fuzzy wool-style hair. A dark-toned composition doll torso and a detached leg are present, showing visible interior structure at the hip joint. The lot is contained in a cardboard box with paper ephemera, including a fragment of a map of England.
Condition report:
The collection is in poor to fair condition, showing signs of heavy play wear and long-term storage. The cloth doll displays age-related soiling. The composition doll components are damaged and incomplete with significant wear to the surface. The hand-knitted garments appear intact. Sold as seen for parts or restoration.
