Two framed items. The first is a collection of fifteen John Player & Sons cigarette cards from the Uniforms of the Territorial Army series. Each card depicts a soldier in historical regimental dress with printed captions including Glamorganshire R.G.A. 1908, Cheshire Field Company Royal Engineers 1914, Royal North Devon Yeomanry (Hussars) 1908, Army Veterinary Corps 1908, and General Post Office Rifles 1882. The cards are presented in a dark grey multi-aperture mount and housed in a gilt-finished frame.
The second item is a framed landscape print on paper depicting an atmospheric nocturnal or twilight scene. The composition features a central body of water reflecting a low moon or sun, framed by dense silhouetted trees and foliage in a Tonalist style. The print is set within a white mat and housed in a polished dark wood frame. Both items bear orange auction stickers numbered 318.
Condition report:
Both items are presented behind glass and appear to be in good condition. The cigarette cards show vibrant colour retention with no visible foxing or fading. The landscape print appears clean with no evidence of staining or tears. The gilt frame for the cigarette cards has minor scuffing and wear to the edges. The dark wood frame for the print shows light surface scratches consistent with age and handling.
