Lot 23A: A Group of Electronic Calculators Including a Canon LC-8E
A group of items comprising electronic calculators, contained within a rectangular black-coated wire mesh basket. The collection includes a large silver and black multifunction desk calculator featuring an LCD screen and a numerical keypad with buttons labelled AC, CE, 00, 0, and mathematical operators. Functional buttons bear icons of a musical note, a bell, a clock face, and a play symbol, while sliding switches are provided for power, volume, and alarm settings. Also present is a Canon LC-8E pocket calculator in a transparent blue plastic case, currently attached to its original printed cardboard retail backing card. The card identifies the manufacturer as Canon Electronic Business Machines (H.K.) Co., Ltd. and includes a barcode with the numbers 4 960999 705545, as well as various European contact addresses. An additional, smaller pocket calculator with a white body and black circular buttons is partially visible within the basket.
Condition report:
The items are in a used, as-found condition. All calculators exhibit an accumulation of dust and surface scuffs consistent with age and handling. The retail card for the Canon calculator shows wear, including creasing and edge softening. The functionality of the electronic components has not been tested, and the condition of any internal batteries is unknown.
