A Victorian style three-branch hanging chandelier constructed from cast metal with a patinated brass finish and frosted glass. The fixture features a central vertical rod and decorative hub from which three ornate arms extend, decorated with intricate scrollwork. Each arm terminates in a single bulb holder fitted with a frosted glass shade. The shades are finished with a textured hobnail pattern and flared, ruffled rims. The unit is suspended by a central rod and metal chain, leading to a matching circular ceiling rose. A circular orange sticker with the handwritten number 96 and a rectangular white sticker with the printed number 11 are present on the central hub. The fixture is wired for electricity; however, it is sold as a decorative object and must be inspected and rewired by a qualified electrician prior to installation and use.
Condition report:
The metalwork exhibits a consistent aged patina with minor surface wear and small areas of tarnish commensurate with age. The three frosted glass shades are in good condition with no visible chips or cracks. The wiring appears to be of significant age and requires replacement for safety.
