Lot 136: A Trio of Beswick Ceramic Mallard Duck Figurines
A trio of Beswick glazed ceramic mallard duck figurines. The set consists of a triple duck group featuring three mallards on a single pond-style base, a large mallard with an open bill in a calling pose, and a smaller mallard in a swimming posture. Each figurine is decorated with hand-painted polychrome colours, including deep green heads, yellow-orange bills, and mottled brown and blue plumage. The underside of the triple duck base displays a black printed circular Beswick England backstamp and a hand-painted black mark resembling the letter C.
Condition report:
The set shows significant fine-line crazing to the glaze throughout all pieces. Several adhesive labels are present on the exterior surfaces. There are no visible chips, cracks, or repairs.
