Lot 121: A Collection of Decorative Art Glass and Stemware
A collection of decorative glassware comprising five pieces of hand-blown and worked glass. The group includes two wine glasses featuring vibrant coloured bowls, one in ruby red and one in emerald green, each set upon a clear glass stem and circular foot. The collection also contains a large, heavy spherical glass paperweight with internal swirls of cerulean blue and sea-green glass, accented with a controlled bubble bullicante pattern throughout. A smaller spherical glass paperweight is decorated with twisting, diagonal ribbons of red, white, and blue glass. The final piece is a small, disc-shaped millefiori glass paperweight composed of multi-coloured glass canes in shades of pink, blue, and green arranged to create a floral effect. Several items bear small white rectangular adhesive labels hand-marked with the number 2, and the large orb also features an orange rectangular adhesive label marked 121.
Condition report:
Based on visual inspection, the glass appears bright and clear with no visible chips, cracks, or significant surface scratching. The internal structures, including the controlled bubble pattern and millefiori canes, appear intact and well-preserved.
