Lot 98: A Trio of Glazed Ceramic Kitchenware Items including Two Lidded Pots and an Oversised Cup and Saucer
A collection of three ceramic items comprising two lidded pots and an oversised breakfast cup with a matching saucer. The first item is a stoneware lidded pot of rounded form with two small lug handles, finished in an ochre-yellow glaze, in the style of York Gourmet Ware. The second item is a small earthenware lidded pot featuring a high-gloss dark brown glaze, a domed lid, and a central knob finial. The third component is a large cup and saucer set; the cup is decorated with hand-painted fruit and foliage motifs including peaches and cherries on a white exterior ground. The interior of the cup and the top surface of the saucer are finished in a deep olive green glaze. No maker’s marks or factory stamps are visible on the exterior surfaces.
Condition report:
The items are in good overall condition. There are no obvious chips, cracks, or repairs visible. Light surface wear and minor glaze imperfections consistent with age and domestic use may be present.
