A small utilitarian chest of drawers of simple rectangular form, likely dating from the mid-20th century. The unit is constructed from wood and finished with a heavy white overpaint. It features three full-width drawers, each fitted with a single centrally-mounted vertical wooden block handle, painted to match the body. On the left side panel, there is a small white rectangular label printed with the numbers 15 15. An orange sticker with the handwritten number 478 is present on the top surface at the front corner. No maker’s marks, stamps, or manufacturer labels are visible.
Condition report:
The chest is in an overpainted condition with visible brushwork and general wear throughout. There is scuffing and minor paint loss, particularly concentrated around the drawer edges and handles. The drawer alignment appears slightly uneven when closed.
