Lot 401: A mid-to-late 20th-century turned wood floor lamp with pleated fabric shade
A vintage floor lamp, or standard lamp, featuring a dark-stained turned wooden stem with decorative ring-turned and baluster details. The column is mounted upon a circular, stepped, and weighted base. The lamp is fitted with a large, cylindrical, pleated fabric lampshade in a light dusty-rose colour. A modern white electrical flex emerges from the top of the wooden column, currently featuring an orange identification tag. This item is sold as a decorative object. As with all electrical items sold at auction, it has not been tested for safety. It is recommended that the buyer has the item inspected and PAT tested by a qualified electrician prior to use. Any existing wiring should be treated as potentially unsafe until verified.
Condition report:
The wooden base and stem appear in good overall condition, showing minor surface wear, light scuffs, and small scratches consistent with age and use. The fabric shade is intact but shows light surface soiling and dust accumulated from storage. Wiring appears modern but is sold as untested.
