Lot 269: A Collection of Cut Lead Crystal Stemware and Glassware
A collection of hand-cut lead crystal glassware in the style of Waterford, organised into two distinct groups as identified by adhesive labels. The first group, associated with label 269, consists of wine glasses and champagne flutes decorated with a traditional pattern of multi-pointed stars above panels of fine diamond-cut cross-hatching and vertical mitre cuts. These items feature faceted stems and radial star-cut bases. The second group, associated with label 15, includes champagne flutes with deep, elongated vertical mitre cuts and larger wine goblets decorated with a band of diamond cross-hatching below vertical thumbprint or flute cuts. The glassware displays the weight and light refraction characteristic of high-quality lead crystal. No etched manufacturer marks are visible in the provided images.
