Lot 242: An Oak-Framed Fire Screen with Stylised Bird and Floral Decoration
An oak-framed fire screen featuring a rectangular decorative panel. The central panel displays a repeating pattern of stylised birds and floral motifs in shades of pink, blue, and teal on a light background. The wooden frame is constructed from oak and is supported by two splayed, shaped feet. A yellow tag is adhered to the left side of the frame displaying the handwritten numbers 242 and 15, and a small white tag on the lower left of the decorative panel is also marked 15. No manufacturer marks are visible.
Condition report:
The fire screen displays minor surface wear to the oak frame consistent with age and use. The decorative panel remains intact with no visible tearing or significant staining. The frame appears structurally sound.
