A decorative mid-20th-century dagger designed in the style of a Roman pugio, likely of Spanish manufacture from the Toledo region. The straight, double-edged blade features four narrow, parallel longitudinal fullers on each face. The cast metal hilt has a silver-toned finish with a rectangular crossguard decorated with relief scrollwork. The grip and bulbous pommel are intricately cast with foliate and geometric motifs. The matching metal scabbard is decorated with panels of cast relief work, including interlaced geometric patterns and circular medallions. It features a two-tone silver and brass finish, two rectangular suspension mounts with rings, and a rounded ball finial. No maker marks or country-of-origin stamps are visible.
