A collection of polychrome transfer-printed earthenware tableware decorated in the Regency pattern, attributed to Mason’s Patent Ironstone. The assembly includes several double-handled bouillon or soup cups with matching saucers, a small pitcher, and sections of larger plates or platters. The decoration follows a chinoiserie style, featuring a central motif of a long-tailed bird amongst large blue and yellow blossoms and smaller floral sprigs. The design is executed in a palette of cobalt blue, yellow, and shades of pink and red on a cream earthenware body. The rims are finished with a continuous border of scrolling geometric and floral patterns. No factory marks are visible on the upper surfaces of the pieces shown.
Condition report:
The collection appears to be in good overall condition. Surface wear, minor stacking scratches, and fine crazing consistent with age and use may be present. Several pieces have small orange adhesive stickers attached to the surfaces.
