Lot 4: An Assortment of Spode Royal Jasmine Strathmere Pattern Tableware
This collection features several pieces of Spode earthenware in the Strathmere pattern, manufactured on the cream-coloured Royal Jasmine body. The decoration consists of multi-coloured transfer-printed floral sprays including blue, pink, and yellow blossoms with green foliage, further accented by a green geometric lattice border to the inner rims. The items are marked to the underside in green underglaze with Spode’s, Royal Jasmine, England, and STRATHMERE. Hand-painted characters in red script reading S/2128 over 96 are also present on the bases. The assortment includes dinner plates, side plates, saucers, teacups, egg cups, a twin-handled cream soup bowl, and a small cream jug.
Condition report:
The items appear to be in good vintage condition overall, showing light surface wear and minor crazing consistent with age and use. Adhesive orange lot stickers are present on several pieces. A small nick is visible on the foot rim of the cup shown in the detail image.
