Lot 482: A Space Age three-tier cream plastic shelving unit in the style of Anna Castelli Ferrieri for Kartell
Attributed to Anna Castelli Ferrieri for Kartell, this Space Age shelving unit is of rectangular form with rounded corners. The piece is constructed from moulded cream-coloured plastic and features three fixed open-fronted storage compartments. The top surface is designed as a shallow tray with a raised peripheral lip. The design is characteristic of Italian plastic furniture from the 1970s. No manufacturer’s marks or branding are visible on the unit. An auction lot sticker is present on one side.
Condition report:
The unit shows visible signs of age and previous use. There is surface scuffing, scratches, and sticker residue present across the plastic. A small hairline crack or significant abrasion is visible on the vertical divider between the top and middle compartments. Some general discolouration consistent with the age of the material is present.
