Lot 463: A Victorian Burr Walnut Wine Table with Carved Piecrust Rim
A circular occasional table featuring a top inset with quarter-booked burr walnut veneers displaying a prominent grain. The tabletop is finished with a carved piecrust rim. It is supported by a central turned and carved pedestal terminating in a tripod base. The three cabriole legs feature carved foliate motifs at the knees and end in shaped feet. A yellow rectangular label marked 463 is present on the top surface. No maker’s marks or stamps are visible.
Condition report:
The table shows signs of age and use. There are surface scratches and some fading to the veneer on the top. White residue is visible in the recesses of the carved rim. The structure appears stable.
