Lot 46: A Trio of Ceramic Beer Steins with Hinged Pewter Lids
A trio of ceramic beer steins, each featuring a tapering cylindrical body and a hinged pewter lid. The collection includes a stoneware stein with a cobalt blue ground and white relief-moulded decoration depicting a seated figure and scrolling floral motifs, bordered by ochre-coloured glazed bands at the rim and foot. A second, smaller stoneware stein features a multi-coloured relief-moulded landscape scene with buildings and trees in green, blue, and orange glazes. The third stein is white ceramic, decorated with a blue transfer-printed design of classical ruins and a floral base border. Each lid is fitted with a decorative thumb-lift, with one featuring a pointed finial. No manufacturer marks or stamps are visible from the provided perspective.
