Lot 445: Royal Worcester Hanbury Pattern Blue and White Ceramic Hors d'Oeuvre Serving Dish
A large, circular ceramic hors d’oeuvre serving dish, attributed to Royal Worcester in the Hanbury pattern. The piece is constructed from white glazed earthenware and features a deeply lobed or scalloped rim. It is divided into six separate compartments, comprising five peripheral sections arranged around a central circular well. The decoration consists of blue transfer-printed floral sprays, with each compartment displaying a central bouquet of flowers, including roses, in a traditional style. A repeating decorative border of scrolls and floral motifs follows the scalloped edge. Two adhesive stickers are present on the surface: a small white rectangular tag and an orange price tag marked 45.
Condition report:
The dish is in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. Fine surface crazing is present within the glaze, which is typical for ceramics of this age and type.
