Lot 39: A Collection of Vintage Pressurised Fuel Stoves and a Lantern including a Primus No. 1
An assortment of vintage pressurised fuel stoves and a pressure lantern. The central piece is a Primus No. 1 paraffin stove, with the burner head clearly stamped with the manufacturer name PRIMUS, the model No 1, and the origin MADE IN SWEDEN. The collection includes several other similar brass and steel pressurised stoves of varying designs. These stoves feature integrated fuel tanks and wire pot supports. Included in the lot is a large pressurised lantern with a glass globe and protective wire cage. The items are constructed primarily from brass and steel. The collection is presented in an uncleaned state, retaining a dark aged patina throughout. Several items retain orange paper lot labels.
Condition report:
The collection exhibits significant signs of age and long-term storage. There is heavy surface oxidation and rust present on the steel wire pot supports and other ferrous components. Surfaces show a thick accumulation of dust and a dark, unpolished patina across the brass bodies. The items are in as-found, uncleaned condition. Mechanical functionality and pressure seals are untested.
