Lot 277: A Collection of Kitchenware and Tableware including Ceramic Teapots and Glass Ovenware
A collection of varied kitchenware and tableware items. The group includes a large cream-coloured glazed ceramic teapot featuring an ornate scroll handle, a pedestal foot, and a matching lid with a decorative finial. The body is decorated with gilt floral sprigs and gilt highlighting on the handle and rims. Also included is a white glazed ceramic lidded vessel with two scroll handles and a pedestal base, decorated with gilt line borders and a repeating foliate motif. The metalware consists of a dark brown enamelled metal kettle with a large black overhead handle and a silver-toned metal coffee or teapot with a curved spout and black heat-resistant composite handle and lid finial. Completing the collection is a round, white opaque glass casserole dish with integral tab handles and a clear glass lid, in the style of Pyrex or CorningWare. No factory marks are visible on the exterior of the pieces.
Condition report:
The items are in used condition. The large cream teapot displays extensive surface crazing throughout the glaze. The enamelled kettle shows minor surface wear consistent with age and use. The silver-toned metal vessel and glass casserole dish appear to be in good functional condition with light surface scratching. No major chips or cracks are immediately visible upon external inspection.
